Lexus announced Hybrid Bicycle concept

Lexus the Japanese car manufacturer and luxury car division of Toyota announced plans to bring the Hybrid Bicycle concept to the Great British Bike Ride which is unveiled at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show.
Lexus Hybrid Bicycle ConceptThe Power of Lexus Hybrid bicycle comes from the pedal of the rider improved by help of the front wheel with a 240W electric motor and a 25.9V lithium ion battery. The motor has two modes Eco and Power. The Lexus Hybrid Bicycle battery is recharged by regenerative brake system or by capturing kinetic energy under braking.

The features of Lexus Hybrid bicycle include all wheel drive, an electric eight speed transmission and carbon fiber construction.

Toyota FT-86 production cost increases than estimated

Toyota the Japanese car maker announced that development costs of the Toyota FT-86 car will result in a more costly product than originally estimated. The Toyota FT-86 Concept made its debut at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show.

Toyota FT-86The Toyota FT-86 car is powered by a 200-HP 2.0L boxer Subaru engine system sending power to the rear wheels. Prices are set to start above $20,000. The research and development team is now focused on increasing fuel economy and is working to produce cleanest engine. This makes the price of the Toyota FT-86 to $23,000, with the range-topper model hitting a little above $26,000.

Toyota delivers attractive, lightweight, rear driver, with an extra few thousand green backs. The Toyota FT-86 is expected to start production at the end of 2011 shortly after Subaru version.

Mazda using Toyota Hybrid Synergy Drive technology

Mazda will be using Toyotas Hybrid Synergy Drive technology the second car manufacturer using this technology followed by Nissan. Mazda has signed a contract with the hybrid behemoth that will notice the little company get a supply of hybrid hardware most probably contain communication, power electronics including the software and battery packs.
