GM announced auction of limited edition 2008 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 to donate earthquake relief efforts in Haiti

General Motors today announced that it will auction its limited edition 2008 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 at Barrett-Jackson this weekend and will donate for relief efforts in Haiti to the American Red Cross. In addition to that GM Foundation has donated $100,000 to the Red Cross already.

The 2008 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is powered with a 7.0L V8 engine making 505-hp. The Corvette has spider design chrome Z06 wheels, Z06 plates, a Stinger-style stripe on the front hood and fascia, chrome exterior badges and a painted Z06 spoiler and body color door handles. Inside, the Corvette contains a Dark Titanium leather-wrapped interior and special Crystal Red center trim plate.

The auctioned 2008 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is the one of the 427-units and last is the only Z06 available with Crystal Red Metallic paint.
